What is an electronic subscription?
We will send out an email twice a month of upcoming events on local history and a brief description of new articles and features of this web site. We will try to keep these emails short, but it will be a good way to hear about events outside your immediate area.
Please tell us of venues that you enjoy so we can share them with others. For instance, in the Gilboa area, I personally enjoy speakers at the area's historical society meetings, speakers at Hobart's Book Village and the Hunter Bookstore, etc. We have driven as far as Albany, Schoharie, and Andes for presentations, and I am sure others might share this passion. Let me know your favorites so we can all get out and support these events.
We make an effort to keep the files small, but electronic subscription is not ideal if you are limited to a dial-up Internet connection. However, public libraries have high-speed Internet so you can read it at the library, or download files onto a thumb drive to bring to your own computer and printer.
